Danny Morrow grew up in Hamilton, Ontario, left school at sixteen, and arrived at theatre through an unlikely route: a community arts program at a correctional facility where he was briefly detained in his early twenties. He has spoken candidly in interviews about that experience and how it shaped his understanding of the characters he tends to play, men living at the margins, operating on instinct, capable of both harm and unexpected tenderness. He trained subsequently at George Brown College theatre arts program and has worked steadily in Toronto independent theatre scene ever since. He is a three-time Ember nominee and received the City Stage Magazine Audience Award for his performance in the Storefront Theatre 2021 season.
