Marcus Reid is a Toronto-based actor and writer whose stage work is marked by a dry, watchful intelligence that makes him particularly effective at playing men who believe they are in control of situations they clearly are not. He trained at Toronto Metropolitan University theatre program and spent several years with the Shaw Festival, where he appeared in Arms and the Man and The Doctor Dilemma. His physical presence and instinct for stillness have made him a natural fit for roles that sit at the intersection of authority and insecurity. He is also the co-creator and star of the short film series Badge, which premiered at the Toronto International Short Film Festival in 2022.
