Priya Sharma

Priya Sharma is a Toronto-based director of Indian-Canadian heritage whose work is known for its political urgency and its refusal to sacrifice emotional intimacy in the name of conceptual clarity. She trained at the University of Toronto and the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and has directed productions across Canada including at Cahoots Theatre, Buddies in Bad Times, and the Shaw Festival. She has a long-standing relationship with the texts of George F. Walker, which she has described in interviews as among the most morally demanding plays in the Canadian repertoire. This is her second production of Love and Anger.
