Sarah Okafor grew up in Scarborough and studied theatre at York University before completing a residency at the Soulpepper Academy. She has established herself as one of the most versatile actors of her generation, moving with equal ease between comedy and drama and between intimate studio productions and mainstage work. Her breakout stage performance came in Soulpepper's 2019 production of Second Shift, for which she received a Ember Award nomination. She has since appeared in productions at the Tarragon Theatre, the Grand Theatre in London, and the Citadel in Edmonton. On screen she has appeared in the CBC series In Between and the comedy Double Shift.
